A Charter for the formation of Worth Commandery was issued April 17, 1885. 
The initial meeting place was in the same building with Fort Worth Lodge #148, at 2nd and Main Street.
Its memebership was compsired mostly of Masons in Tarrant County Bodies.  
Worth Commandery  long had the distinction of being the largest Commandery in the World.  It had a peak membership in the late 1940's of 3,800 and in 1977 had about 3.300 members.   
Worth Commandery Drill Teams have earned numerous National and State Champoinships.
